Specialty Accreditation


P hysicians and affiliated hospitals accredited as ACSQ Centers of Excellence may obtain such designations depending on the specialty of certification. ACSQ offers specialty accreditation in ACSQ Endovascular Surgery Center of Excellence® (ESCOE®), ACSQ Venous Surgery Center of Excellence® (VSCOE®) and ACSQ Cardiac Surgery Center of Excellence® (CSCOE®).

All designated certifications of Center of Excellence must undergo a process of evaluation designed to ensure the presence of a comprehensive program that meets established program requirements for providing a safe surgical environment with excellent short- and long-term clinical outcomes. The evaluation process evaluates processes, i.e., equipment, supplies, training of physicians and staff and the availability of consultant services with specific emphasis on quality outcomes.

ACSQ Endovascular Surgery Center of Excellence® (ESCOE®)

ACSQ Endovascular surgery program is available for institutions and independent stand alone facilities with vascular surgeons, cardiologists and/or interventional radiologists who are committed to providing safe, established and outcome based inititatives. Accreditation establishes commitment from facilities on standards set forth by the ACSQ in standards in excellence.

ACSQ Venous Surgery Center of Excellence® (VSCOE®)

ACSQ Venous Surgery program is available for institutions and independent stand alone facilities with vascular surgeons and other allied healthcare professionals providing venous based procedures. Increasing utility of venous based practices have required for standards in training requirements and procedures to ensure safe and outcomes based measures resulting in standards of excellence.

ACSQ Cardiac Surgery Center of Excellence® (CSCOE®)

ACSQ Cardiac Surgery program is available for healthcare institutions and independent stand alone facilities with cardiac surgeons and cardiologists providing invasive and interventional cardiac based procedures. Accreditation is based on commitments to set standards of excellence set forth by ACSQ.
